| Wedding,
news, that is!
2005
has proven to be a banner year! I thought going on the vacation
of my lifetime was enough, but the day after I returned from
Africa, Trent proposed marriage! It was also my birthday.
Our
wedding day was February 25th, 2006. It was a wonderful day!
75 family and friends braved the snowy roads to be with us
on our special day. We had wished for snow (better photographs)
and boy did we get our wish! We realized after that we forgot
to quantify HOW MUCH snow we wanted. I was wearing my big
fuzzy (warm!) black winter boots outside. It made for some
interesting photographs. Trent and I were captured making
snow angels, having a snow ball fight, and walking through
the gorgeous pine trees at the Golf Club, hand in hand, of
course with Bosco, our dog, at our side.
I think
Bosco stole the day. He looked very handsome with his wreath
of ivy and white roses and made a fantastic ring bearer. We
couldn't have done it without my brother there to direct him
(and make sure Bosco didn't run off to play in the snow with
the rings!).
The
ceremony was at 11:30 and the whole event was done by 4:30.
You can see pictures of the wedding here
taken by family and friends. Our photographer was Marilyn
Gillespie, and you can view the shots she took here.
We left
for our Honeymoon on February 28th. We had 7 days and nights
in Costa Rica, in between a town called Quepos and the Manuel
Antonio National Park. You can see pictures of our honeymoon
here.
Now the fun begins - moving Trent in to my house, fixing up
his condo and getting it ready for sale, and getting used
to being MARRIED!
